A downloadable game for Windows

Enter the Rift. Hold the line. Survive long enough to tell people it was “mostly under control.”

RiftRunners is an early-stage multiplayer survival shooter being built in public.

This demo is not a finished game, not a polished vertical slice, and definitely not the final version of RiftRunners. It is an early playable build designed to test the core foundation:

  • Player movement

  • Shooting and aiming

  • Enemy spawning

  • Weapon behaviour

  • Multiplayer joining/hosting

  • Safehouse combat flow

  • HUD clarity

  • General stability

The goal is simple: get the demo into players’ hands, collect real feedback, find what breaks, and improve the next build.

After testing the demo, please submit feedback here: https://forms.gle/x954hd4gJdh9ETAg9

You will see a feedback code inside the game. Please include it on the form so we can confirm the feedback came from someone who tested the build.

What You Can Do In This Demo

In this early build, you can:

  • Run around the current test area

  • Use weapons

  • Fight enemy waves

  • Test safehouse combat

  • Try the current multiplayer flow

  • Help expose bugs, jank, and anything that feels broken

Some systems are intentionally rough. Some things will feel unfinished. That is expected.

This is the stage where we find problems before pretending everything is fine like a professional liar with a roadmap PDF.

Current Development Status

RiftRunners currently has working foundations for:

  • Player spawning

  • Basic movement

  • Replicated shooting

  • Enemy spawning

  • Enemy damage and kills

  • Multiplayer hosting and joining

  • HUD work in progress

  • Safehouse testing area

  • Early weapon testing

The next focus areas are:

  • Improving character movement

  • Cleaning up animation flow

  • Fixing bugs from tester feedback

  • Improving enemy behaviour

  • Refining the HUD

  • Expanding the safehouse loop

  • Preparing the RiftRunners website

  • Publishing clearer roadmap and utility details

Important Demo Notes

This demo is for testing, not judging the final game.

Known rough areas:

  • Character movement still needs work

  • Animations are not final

  • Enemy balancing is not final

  • Spawn rates may be higher than normal for testing

  • HUD elements may change

  • Some systems may break in multiplayer

  • Visual polish is still early

If something looks rough, it probably is. Report it anyway.

Feedback Wanted

If you test the demo, feedback is massively appreciated.

Useful feedback includes:

  • Did the game launch correctly?

  • Did multiplayer work?

  • Could you host or join a session?

  • Did enemies spawn correctly?

  • Did shooting feel responsive?

  • Did anything crash?

  • Did anything feel confusing?

  • What felt fun?

  • What felt terrible?

  • What needs fixing first?

Brutal feedback is fine. Useless feedback is “game bad.” Give me something I can actually fix.

About RiftRunners

RiftRunners is planned as a multiplayer survival/extraction-style game where players enter dangerous Rift zones, fight enemies, survive escalating threats, collect rewards, and extract before things go wrong.

The project is being built game-first.

There is also a planned $RIFT ecosystem, but the priority is to build an actual playable game with actual utility before pushing hype.

Game before token. Utility before noise.

Community

Follow development, testing updates, and future demo builds through the RiftRunners community channels.

More updates, dev logs, website details, and roadmap information will be shared as the project moves forward.

Final Note

This is an early build.

Expect bugs. Expect rough edges. Expect the occasional “why has that happened?” moment.

That is exactly why this demo exists.
